non capisco la storia di Large Address Aware: il tipo nel video mi pare dica che migliori la gestione dei multicore, ma il link del topic di techpowerup (questo) dice abbastanza chiaramente che è solo un trick per le applicazioni per gestire fino a 3 GB di RAM anzichè i soliti 2 ed evitare che l'applicazione dopo un po' vada a sforare nel pagefile su HDD e inizi a laggare
EDIT: in effetti il video di YT ha una nota che corregge l'errore: LAA serve solo per la RAM. Vedi sotto
per me oggi su PS2 il più grosso vincolo alle performances comunque non è nè la gestione della RAM nè la grafica, ma come ho gà scritto è la pessima gestione dei cores: non è possibile che anche in situazioni con pochi PG io sia CPU limited con un i5 3570k e GTX670... La SOE dovrebbe levarsi un po' di paglia dal culo e pensare che nel 2013 il 95% dei PC da gaming hanno minimo 4 core fisici, è inutile ottimizzare i giochi a culo, tanto PS2 mica gira sulle console... Grazie a dio ho un PC nuovo e faccio dai 50 ai 60FPS, ma mi immagino la sofferenza degli hardware più datati...Quote:

fammi capire: questi scrivono un motore grafico PROPRIETARIO apposta per questo gioco, e si dimenticano che i PC hanno 4-8 cores?
è più un, fanno un sistema per supportare i multicore.. ma lo fanno male :asd:
mi piace perchè elogiano il loro "forgelight" come se fosse il motore Del FUTURO WAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mentre in realtà fa abbastanza cagare per il momento, i lanciafiamme vennero disabilitati perchè se sparavi crashavi o andavi a 2 fps :asd: la physx andava in beta e l'han tolta per problemi di performance, il gioco è ottimizzato proprio male :asd:
gran figata sono invece le luci, veramente belle cazzo, speriamo faccian le notti un pò più buie (come erano in beta) così valorizziamo le torcie
mi ricorda l'hero engine di swtor....
