Leonidas did not go to Thermopylae violating the rules , but as a general of a consociation of 31 cities-state as it was decided at the conference held in Korinthos at 481 BC.but as we can see in the movie Leonidas violates the spartan law , a fact historically unacceptable due to the fact that spartans highly respected laws and rules .The point is obvious , many of the USA acts are totally illegal and violate internation laws but the american government tries to justify them claiming that "the cause justifies the means" ..

Perchè, secondo me, gli americani potevano anche essere l'esercito persiano, mentre gli iraqeni, o quello che vogliono essere, sono gli spartani, che in pochi cercano di fermare l'avanzata "mindless" del malvagio esercito americano.
