Vado un pò OT rispetto alle linee guida, ma vi assicuro che ne vale la pena :) (nonostante questa Band utilizzi i Synth i più occasioni e in diverse canzoni).
Ho l'onore di postare uno dei più affasciananti brani tratti dall'album "The Black Light", dei Calexico, una pietra miliare nella storia della musica, e non lo dico io solo io :D.
I Calexico, arruolati anche da Micheal Mann per il suo film "Collateral", dove interpreteno se stessi intenti a suonare in un locale alla moda pseudo-texano, commercialmente parlando, rimangono sconosciuti ai più, nonostante vengano considerati tra le migliori band Folk Rock contemporanee.
The Black Light è un album splendido, affascinanete, emotivamente coinvolgente, capace di creare immagini mentali, dei luoghi, delle persone, nella mente dell'ascoltatore, accompagnandolo con gran classe in viaggio nel confine messicano dove le culture si mischiano in un calderone di suoni e melodie magnifiche.
Consigliato di cuore a tutti, chi apprezza i lavori di Morricone sicuramente si troverà a proprio agio con i Calexico, rimane comunque una band apprezzabile da tutti quelli che amano la musica di qualità perchè è questa che i Calexico offrono :)

Bellissimo singolo tratto dall'ultimo Album del progetto britannico LCD Soundsystem, Sound of Silver.
La canzone non è altro che una parte del brano 45:33, di ben 45 minuti di durata, commissionato dalla Nike per un interessante progetto di musica per il movimento, riadattato con una parte vocale, a mio parere perfettamente efficace per il tipo di musica, a primo ascolto, difficile da classificare (ElectroXiloMusic? :asd: ).
Peccato che l'intero album, dall'idea veloce che mi son fatto, non è all'altezza di "Someone Great", molto sottotono e poco incisivo, solo... la Cover è degna qualitativamente, è geniale l'utilizzo dell'Avant Garde Alternate :approved: (Ne approfitto per chiedere a tutti, nel caso qualcuno se la ritrovasse nel proprio PC, di informarmi in tutti i modi possibili :look: )
Un ultimo appunto, il primo video è amatoriale, ma il brano è identico a quello dell'Album, mentre il secondo è il video ufficiale, ma con la canzone riadattata velocizzandola. Preferisco di gran lunga la prima versione, che non perde quel suo battito lento dei Synth, che mi fa impazzire :D

...Sophie è una gran figa, anzi: definirla figa sarebbe una bestemmia, perché la sua bellezza non è calcolabile con i soliti canoni comuni, Lei sta un gradino sopra, dove solo pochissime donne possono arrivare... l'eleganza, il corpo, gli sguardi, la voce; la natura gli ha dato tutto quello che si potesse avere, e dobbiamo essere onorati che ci venga data la possibilità di osservarla.

non condivido mazza, sicuramente bella voce, carisma ed eleganza, ma in quanto a bellezza mi pare troppo fredda e distaccata, quasi bionica, cazzo te trombi un robò!
a me piace parecchio lei, anche se dovendo valutarla in termini di "bellezza" (cosa cmq soggettiva) io nn direi che e' cosi' strafiga, e' sicuramente moooolto attraente e ripeto a me piace moltissimo, ma secondo me piu' che la pura "fighezza" ha quel come dire "fascino del difetto" in quanto guardandola bene non e' assolutamente priva di difetti fisici...

ci ho pensato mentre guardavo il video, è difficile che sia brutto quando nella colonna sonora c'è Tom York che canta
sicuramente lo stile è azzeccato, in particolare per kid A, segue l'onda di Idioteque com pensiero, lo stile è surrealista e sperimentale, mi è piaciuto.
Certo fa pensare cosa riescano a iniettare nelle persone i radiohead.

Questo splendido brano in Italia è indissolubilmente legato al famoso spot Martini che girava qualche anno fa, una scelta azzeccatissima da parte dell'agenzia pubblicitaria che si occupò della scelta del brano, orecchiabile e da un ritornello facile da ricordare che ha contribuito al successo dell'album intero anche internazionalmente, con oltre mezzo milione di copie vendute.
Nonostante l'apparenza superficiale del brano, il progetto ha dietro una storia molto interessante, i Monaco infatti è un side-project formato dal bassista dei New Order, Peter Hook, e dal rimanente membro dei Revange, David Poots.
Il loro successo si deve anche alla mancanza di attività dei New Order dal '93, il sound dei Monaco infatti, grazie sopratutto all'uso inconfondibile del basso di Hook ( :nerdsaw: ) e al timbro di voce David Poots simile a quello di Bernard Sumner, andava a colmare il vuoto che la band Inglese aveva lasciato.
L'intero album è di ottima qualità, a confermare il grande stile del duo, con brani affascinanti come Sweet Lips, Happy Jack e Sedona :)
