-Origin of the ship on LV-426 (questa frase serve solo per farvi capire che nel primo film di alien siamo su un pianeta diverso da quello di prometheus, leggete tutto il resto per avere più informazioni)
-The Engineers are masters of biotechnology, which was proven to wipe out the entire Engineer base on LV-223,
leaving a single Engineer to rest in hypersleep. All other Engineers on the planet were massacred under unknown circumstances by their creations.
-Due to the actions of the android David, the Last Engineer was awoken and was hostile to the humans, and Elizabeth Shaw found out that the Engineer Base had planned on going to Earth and wiping out humanity for over 2000 years,
but a pandemic erupted on LV-223, claiming the lives of all but one Engineer.
The Engineer was able to understand David but rather than respond with words,
he tore David's head off and killed all humans but Shaw as she managed to get away. He then attempted to pilot the ship and head for earth but was stopped by the Prometheus spaceship, which crashed into the alien ship.
-Why was Weyland playing like he was dead and hiding in cryo besides plot reasons?
He was in cryo to preserve the short time he had to live. As far as why he hid it from the crew perhaps he's an eccentric multi-quadrillionaire who likes to mess with people's heads.
Or, if the comany and share holders believe he's dead he could be doing it for some business reasons.
-Why does Vickers even go on the mission when it's against her best intrest in regards to taking over Weyland Industries? It's not in her best intrest if other "sharks" are on earth plotting to take over the company while she's on the mission.
For one Weyland is not dead so the company is still his. Also, Vickers obviously has daddy issues. Her father prefers a replicant to her. Her father is dying.
She expresses that in her opinion the mission is a joke and will not be successful therefore she believes her father is going to die on the mission. She looks at the mission as her last chance to redeem herself or win her father's love away from David.
-Why does David infect Holloway for no reason?
Before David infects Holloway he has a conversation with Weyland who is in cryo. When David leaves he comes upon Vickers lurking in the corridors. She askes David what Weyland said. "He said to try harder" he tells her.
Weyland wants to find out what the "black goo" is capable of without being the guinea pig. Could it make him immortal? Could it make him morph into an alien? Could it give him the runs? He tells David to infect someone. David picks the person he likes the least of the crew.
-Why does David put Shaw to sleep when she asks him to take the alien fetus out?
First, putting Shaw to sleep and in cryo is the most rational actions he could take as the med-pod only works on males and they don't have the personel to do the procedure.
-Why does the awakened Engineer attack instead of finding out what's going on?
He has just been awakened early from a long sleep by inferior beings who he and his kind created and now want to destroy. These inferior beings have somehow found them and the rest of his beings on the ship are dead. He sees them somewhat of a threat.
He has no idea what they know or what they're capable of. Not physically, he knows he can handle them physically. He's worried about what they know about the Juggernauts on the planet and their plan to destroy mankind.
-These are the words that David said to the Engineer:
this man (is) here because not-die he-desires. life_increase_wish to-him you-(can)-give he-believes.
gli xenomorfi sono armi batteriologiche usate per ripulire da ogni forma vivente i pianeti a cui era stata prima data la vita
-the "Deacon" is NOT a "proto-xeno". The "proto-xeno" was the one we saw in Alien, Aliens, Alien3 & Alien:R. It was an ancient prototype of the "deacon" found on a force-landed derelict juggernaut bomber that had been there for at least 1 million years (if not considerably longer).
Original xeno = old bio-weapon. Deacon xeno = the latest bio-weapon (well at least 2,000 years old).
-Remember, you have the ampule containers which inside contain a "yolk", the 4 (possibly 8, double stacked in the taller ones) "inner ampules" with break-off necks surrounded in a by the "egg-white"....the "black goo". These "urns" are "synthetics eggs"....
a much more controlled system of launching the bio-weapon (using pourous/breakable-when-impacted "urns") then their fore-fathers did playing with the actual "ancient xeno eggs".
-The ship arrives at this location in the final week of 2093, with the final moments of the film taking place on New Year's Day, 2094.
Thus, Prometheus concludes 28 years, 5 months and 2 days before the start of Alien.
Assuming Aliens happens in 2179 then Alien takes place 57 years earlier, in 2122
-[...] This splendid theorising has been torpedoed by Ridley Scott saying straight-out that Prometheus takes place in the Zeta Reticuli II star system as well, however.
Thus, the two planetoids in Prometheus and Alien - LV-223 and LV-426 - are different planetoids but they are located in the same star system. Based on the evidence above, I'd still suggest they are orbiting different gas giants.
According to Prometheus, the Engineers built an extensive military installation on LV-223 more than two thousand years ago.
-This facility was overrun and its population almost completely wiped out by unknown forces (but likely a bioweapon they lost control of) approximately 2,000 years before the events of Alien.
-in Alien and Aliens, an Engineer starship of similar design to those seen in Prometheus is found on the surface of LV-426
According to Ridley Scott, this ship originated at the LV-223 facility and was on its way somewhere else (presumably not Earth) with its cargo of facehuggers when its cargo got out of control. The pilot landed on LV-426 and was killed,
within a couple of hundred years of the destruction of the LV-223 facility (so between 1,800 and 2,200 years before the events of Alien). The fact that the facehugger eggs could survive and remain viable for that time period is impressive.
